Near the rear driver's side of the tranny. It has a cover like a wheel bearing on a trailer. Pop it off and it will pull right out. Changing the shift points is done by changing the spring strength. R+R the governor gear if it's worn, can be the cause of not shifting out of first. Ussually will wear out again but it's a 10 minute job so who cares.
