Your tie rod ends or ball joints could be dry. This is a problem since on most modern cars these parts can not be lubricated. You just replace them.
If you are carefull you might be able to re-lubricate them. I got a needle attachment for a grease gun at an auto parts store. This is a really creeppy thing, it looks just like a hypodermic needle! And its used in much the same way: Stick it thru the rubber boot of the ball joint of tie rod and end inject some grease.
