My Car Won't Move Much When Put Into Gear And Transmission Fluid Is Leaking, How Do I Make My Car Drivable?

Well if your transmission fluid is leaking and your car won't move you might need a new transmission.  I know that isn't the answer anyone wants to hear because a transmission is rather expensive.  Have someone take a look at it you might get away with just buying a trans kit  kinda like patching it up. First you should visit a mechanic and make the transmission oil stop leaking. Also do not drive car with low transmission oil as it causes internal damage. Once when the oil will stop leaking, you should add more gear oil  and then you will feel smoothness in the gears again..

You didn't mention make model and yr,or manual,automatic transmission's to my shout box and give details ok?this way we will be able you give correct answer's have over 40 yrs, of dealership experience.

My car will go in gear but it wont move. It backed up a little bit and stopped and it will not go in gear

I have 1999 vw passat (automatic) when I put the car in reverse or drive the car won't move. What is going on with the car?
