If the air conditioning in your car is blowing warm air, there can be a number of things wrong with your car. To find out exactly what is wrong with your car, you need to take it to a car garage, given that we can't actually see your car to examine it and know what is wrong.

If you are unable to fix your air conditioning yourself, you need only take the car to your local car garage and ask them for a quote on how much it will cost to get it fixed. This is usually only a small fee and it stops you from having to pay out if you try and repair it yourself and are unsuccessful. It is much cheaper to get it fixed by someone who knows what they are doing, than to get it fixed after you have made the matter worse.

You could even ask a friend who knows a lot about cars for more information on what is wrong with your car; they may even be able to fix it for you for free if it is a simple job to fix. Make sure that you ask a couple of garages before settling on one to fix your car, to make sure that you get the cheapest deal that you possibly can.

Air conditioning is supposed to cool the car down by bringing in air and putting it through vents to cool it down. For the best use of your air conditioning, keep the windows closed in the car. You may think that having the windows open will bring more cool air in but it actually makes the air conditioning much less effective when you're bringing more air into the car.

Late at night and through mid morning, my air conditioner works fine. In the heat of the day, when it's the hottest, it doesn't cool. Is this a bad compressor or something else?

Either a door is not opening up or you have a blockage of some type on the passenger side. In the older autos you had a mechanical lever to open up the door now it is done electronically improbably by a switch - might need to replace the switch.

You need freon. It is an easy fix and you can get it at the auto parts store. It even comes with the tube you need to get it into you air-conditioner compressor.

It means the refrigeration system is not cooling. The compressor drives freon through the refrigeration system. Do you hear the compressor cycling on to provide more cooling? If not, that could be the problem. If the compressor is still working, the freon may have leaked out. You need to fix the leak before replacing the freon or it will just leak out again.

There must have been a problem in your freon or a possible gas leakage. Maintenance  and repair is needed also by air conditioners just like the other machines and  equipments, this will help your unit to recharge, recondition and prevent such cost in repair due to major complications.

If your vent has come loose. Someone will have to take of your dash and put it back together, since it does blow, that is probably not the problem. Most likely, the buttons are stuck on warmer. Up by the passenger side above the glove box, there is buttons that say warmer/colder. Either those are out, or the fuse needs to be changed in them. There are two fuse boxes on the park avenues, one is where they normally are under the drivers side dash , and the other is under the glove box. check your owners manual, it will tell you where the fuses are for those particular buttons.

If you have never done this before fine out from someone else who knows what to do. It could be low on freon or your compressor clutch could be a problem. Recharging a ac unit can be dangerous and serious injury can result.
