Replacing the coil pack will need to be done if they have malfunctioned or been damaged in some way. It can done using the following steps:

  • Firstly get some tape and a marker so you can tape the wires to the coil in your car and label them. Once you've done that, remove the writing connectors so you can take the coil wire away from the coil tower.
  • The next step is to access the manifold where the coil and the coil bracket is placed, and then remove it from its place. Once removed, take the coil away from the bracket in order to replace it. To do this you need to use a drill to remove the rivets that are securing the coil to the bracket.
  • Once you've taken the coil out, replace it with a new coil and then screw the rivets back into place. It is vital that you screw the coil in securely otherwise it will not function properly. If you have done this correctly you should then repeat the previous steps in reverse to install the new coil and bracket into the car.
  • After that, ensure that you put the coil wire back into place so the connectors are in the correct outlets.
