Locating and getting to this sensor is the hardest part. I'm replacing the one on my 2004 santa fe which has the 2.7 V6. It is located by the bell housing near the transmission in the front of the car facing the radiator. It is very difficult to get to. The wiring insulation on mine is dry rotted and falling off. Every time it rains the sensor shorts out and fails. I'm going to remove some things to make it easier to get to. Once you get to it, it's pretty easy to change. Dealers will quote you 3 to 400 dollars to replace what should be a $30 part.
