2005 PT Cruiser, On The Way Home From Work, Check Engine Light Came On, Engine Was Jerking, Like It Was Misfiring. I Have The Computer Codes Checked And I Got P0700 And P0344. Do I Need To Check The Timing, And Plugs/wires To Begin?

Stop!!!! These codes are your cars computer way of trying to tell you something.

P0700 is a code that says that the transmission computer is unhappy.
P0344 is the cam position sensor code.

So there is nothing wrong with your plugs or wires!

First have the cam position sensor replaced.

If that does not work then next also try replacing the transmission outputspeed sensor replaced.

Both these parts are fairly cheap.
