The Coolant Temperature Sensor is located at the rear of the engine, at the base of the cylinder head, about 6-8"down from the top. You need to remove the top engine cover by gently lifting while unscrewing the 3 plastic screws with a flat screwdriver. You then should remove the heat shield on the passenger side of the engine by removing the hex head cap screws. Then you can reach in with your left hand and locate the sensor, which you can barely see by shining a light in from the top. Take care when removing the plastic retaining clip, it may be installed from the front. Leave the wires on when fishing it out, you can replace when visible. Always replace the o-ring when you replace the sensor.
