Follow the coming instructions to the letter, and you shouldn’t go wrong. The first thing to do is loosen the two large bolts in front of you that are there to hold the rear axle to the control arm. You should also loosen the two bolts on the bottom of the brake assembly.

One the side of the metal chain guard you will see a couple of half holes, and a full. You should go about inserting a strong pin that won’t bend, and won’t break. Do this until it hits the rear axle. Once this is in place, you should rotate the tires until the pin goes forward into a hole on the side of the back axle. By doing this, you will lock the tire rotation and the axle together. This means that you can now rotate the back axle forward or backward in order to adjust the chain tension.

When doing this you need to ensure that you follow all instructions properly and don’t use equipment that is not capable of breaking or causing any damage to the chassis. Remember that doing this can potentially cause more problems, instead of fixing anything, so you should always be sure to consider taking it to a mechanic first. Taking this job to your mechanic could see the process getting done in a much quicker period of time, and it could see it being performed to a higher degree of safety.

If you’re incredibly well-read or trained in this area, however, you should not hesitate to do it yourself. In this case, it shouldn’t be all that difficult for you to reverse the polarity and afterwards put everything back to normal. So weigh up your decisions before you finally start doing it.
