Hi there, ive got 4 points on my provisional licence and have just been pulled by a police for driving with no insurance and no licence. I know I'm screwed and completely forget about driving for a long time, as ive gone out to by a one year bus pass. Just curious I was only stopped today 11/12/09 just wanting to know what to expect. I know I'll have my provisional licence revoked. But when revoked or banned how long does it last for before I can apply for another driving licence.
Thanks

No more than 4 points! Each violation is worth 2 points (this does not include wrecks). A provisional license can be suspended or revoked if you have 2 or more violations occurring separately within 12 months. This is going to be up to the judge in the county that the violation was issued.

I have 6 points on my provisional licence !! Its not up to the court weather you get banned or not ! Because they send your licence of to the dvla and they decide !
Whilst holding my 6 points on my licence I got caught on a motocross bike on the road the other day I'm waiting for my court summons to come through but the traffic cops that stopped me were adoment that the 6 point rule doesnt come into affect until you pass your full driving test ! Hope this helps
