GRP (glass-reinforced plastic boats) boats are very strong and can resist tension much more compared to the conventional boats. A female mold is predominantly used as foundation for the figure of the boat. The structure which is finally formed has to be laid up with many thick layers of fiberglass which is saturated with resin. The conventional methods which are normally used for markings should be imprinted or engraved on plates of plastic. You can also use metals instead of plastic. After engraving the plastic should be tightly attached to the main structure of the boat. This can be done by making use of bolts, hinges, rivets or screws. Using screws may require you to drill the surface by means of a drill machine. Epoxy adhesives or epoxy resin can be also used alternatively to secure the metal or plastic plates.
