Any idea on what is the best procedure for me to get rid of my old and unused car? Shall I go to car cash companies?

Depends on what you are willing to do to sell it.

If you don't mind dealing with the public and having people test drive the car you will probably get a fair market value when you finally sell it. But be sure to look up the value with sites like KBB.com

If you want quick cash you could try a junk yard or trade in. You will probably get between about 10-30 percent of what you could have made private selling. But no hassle.

Theres always the option of re-enforcing the car and heading on into a destruction derby to have some fun before she's sold for scrap.

Check out and research all your options. Remember to find out what kind of tax deduction you can claim if you donate it to a verified charity.

Why don't you trade it in and use that money as a down payment on a newer car? At the company I work for, we take older cars as trades quite often. All you need is the title.

When it comes to selling a car I always want to be sure I’ll receive a fair price, without having the hassle and stress of negotiating with potential buyers. Tha's why I am using a professional help to sell my car online.

Selling a car yourself takes time and effort, and can come with more risks.

Good luck!
