In case anyone is still looking for the vin number for a 1967 Chevy Pickup and you don't have the plate on the door jam. Try looking on the top of the frame just forward of the engine mount on the drivers side. Usually you will find the last eight number of the vin in this location. I had to scrap several layers of dirt and paint off before I could see it.
