From personal experience. I started flying by myself when I was about 7, but of course I needed an escort to make sure that I arrived to my plane on time, but to really start flying by yourself, without an escort, is I think around 16 or 17.

You can go at around 7 on your own but your mum and dad have to sign everything and have to take you to the airport and someone HAS GOT TO pick you up when you arrive, they wont let you go until someone picks you up but when your 18 you can do whatever you want
If you join air cadets you fly solo from the age 16
