How Does The Shape Of An Aeroplane Help It To Take Off And Fly?

It is not the shape of the aeroplane body that makes a plane fly, it is the shape of the wings.

Aeroplane wings (and bird wings as well) make lift because when they move through the air their shape forces the air passing above the wing to get lower in pressure and the air that passes below the wing to be higher in pressure.

With low pressure above and high pressure below the wing (and hopefully the attached aeroplane as well) gets pushed up.
