The Titanic was made of hot rolled steel, but the steel was high in phosphorus and sulphur, and low in manganese.  Those make it rather poor quality steel by today's standards and became brittle when cold, which made the collision damage more severe.  The rivets were also not as strong as they should have been.

It was not made of Titanium, and no ship today is made of Titanium as this would still be too costly.  Titanium is used in a few aircraft only when necessary.

It sunk because an iceberg ripped a hole into it.  Yes, they did call it "unsinkable". Their arrogance took them as far as to say..."Even God couldn't sink this ship".  Honestly....in my opinion, that statement is what did them in.  Not a good idea to challenge God.

It wasn't made out of titanium. Atleast thats what I think. The titanic is made out of glass, metal, brass steel, and wood.
