Do you mean it stays in 3rd gear and won't shift into overdrive, or it shifts out of 3rd and free wheels, (slips)?

Always, the first thing you should do is check your transmission fluid level with the engine running and in park. If it is full of fluid and it is not slipping, and if you have a Shift Solenoid code stored in your computer, the Solenoid Pack could be the problem.
