That is not a battery problem. I had the same problem on my Girlfriends 96. It is a sensor problem located by the computer. I don't remember the exact name of the sensor, but if you go and talk with a chrysler repair center or a local dealer talking with there technicians most of them have dealt with this problem in the past. There is also a new program that they can run on the current computer to solve this problem....
If you still want to replace the battery it is in the drivers side wheel well you must take the tire off and there is a little panel that will allow you to access the battery.
