Probably not.

The only sure fix is to replace the head gasket. But, its often worth a try to use a commercial leak sealer. As long as used properly it should do no harm and with luck may do some good.

I have tried this a number of times and about 1/2 the time it works.

I have always used Bars leak sealer products.

While I do normally not recommend any kind of sealers for any problems (coolant leak, freon leak, ...) there are situations that validate that approach. If your car is too old and not worth spending the money on the repair it is worth a try to fix the leak wit the leak stop products on the market. I just would not recommend using these products on any newer car that you intend to keep for a while. Get it fixed right instead.

Black pepper most certainly does work !! I used it on my car 2 years ago & I'm still driving it. It's probably people like you that have never tried it but, are quick to say it doesn't work. Unless you've tried it I suggest you don't criticize.
