How To Replace Heater Core On A 1997 Gmc Jimmy V-6?

I have a 2000 GMC jimmy diamond edition and I cannot get my heater core out. I have the dash out and right wheel well all out and also I have disconnected everything in conjunction with a set of instructions but it said there would be something to remove in the blower motor resistor and there was not. Please help
