Can you tell me how do I drain the fluid out of the power steering so I can change it ?

Put a drain pan under the power steering reservoir, and then loosen the low pressure line clamp on the back of the res. And pul hose off and let drain, when it stops draining then put everything back and fill 'er up.

PS fluid in ooil will cause motor to seize! That's what happened to me.... Sad thing is I did it on purpose. My 4 cylinder focus has been burning and/or slowly leaking oil for years. This past week I guess it got extremely low for the first time and started ticking. I pulled over immediately, only had a half quart of oil and about 3/4 bottle of PS fluid. Felt the lubrication of the PS fluid and figuredd that if mixed with the oil it would lub it enough to make it to my house a mile down the road. Made it about half way home before it started ticking again. Pulled over again, got enough oil to change it and a new filter. Changed it out, gave the key a turn and the crank turned about 3/4 of a rotation and stopped moving. SEIZED! Thank god for cheap 4 bangers from pull-a-part. Back on the road but learned my lesson.  NEVER MIX ANY FLUIDS! Common sense right? Lol
