Who Invented Dirt Bike?

In the beginning, all roads were dirt so motorcycles started out as dirt bikes. The first motorcycle ridden coast to coast was a 1903 Yale California. This was an interesting feat in that the first bike beat the first car coast to coast and that there wasn't even a coast to coast road network at that time.
