The fastest production car is the 730 bhp Ultima 720 GTR which is a small British sports car powered by a V8 Chevrolet engine.
It has been officially recorded by the Guiness Book of Records of bulleting from a standing start to 60 mph in a hair-raising 2.6 seconds. By just over five seconds, this rocket machine hits 100 mph.
Thankfully it has remarkable brakes which can stop the car from 100 mph to 0 mph in 3.6 seconds plus driver's reaction time. It is a truly scary beastie and in the speed stakes is a mere five hundredths of a second faster than the Bugatti Veyron.
To be fair, though, the Bugatti looks like a car, weighs two tons and its 1001 bhp gives it a top speed of 253 mph. The Ultima is a tea tray with a very large engine.
The new bugati veyron super sport is the new fastest recording a woping 264mph so now it beats the SSC Ultimate Aero by 7 seconds
SSC Ultimate Aero At 257 mph with 1183hp
Sky cars they are the fastest cars
The fastest car ive heard of is the Bugatti Veyron at 253 mph.
Its a Zonda a car with 843 horse power
I would say the Mclaren F1 is the fastest second only to jet cars.
Nissan frontier, it has 1055 horses with the nos I have had it to 225 and still had another gear. It will smoke Brand new sets of tires off in a second. Ive only drove it twice> it scares me
