Why are you asking? Did you get an engine code?
EGR stands for; Exhaust Gas recirculation.
It is unlikely that the EGR valve is the problem.
Is more likely a carbon build up in the line up to the valve or in the valve.
Cleaning out the carbon would most likely cure your problem.
