You might have to as this is how a lot of newer cars are made today. That is unless your fairly mechanical and can perhaps find the housing inside the engine compartment or climb under the car and have the ability to remove the assembly. Most newer vehicles require going inside the vehicles engine compartments or under the vehicle and approaching the assembly from the inside as opposed to the old outside screw removal. The assembly usually has some type of a mechanism that will detach from the light housing assembly and from this housing is where you remove the bulb, if it is a bulb, from the back. Look inside the engine compartment first and you should see the housing for the lights. This will give you the path you need to follow to replace the light and also a good indication of the complexity of what else may need to be removed in order to access the light housing. Some of the newer vehicles have special lights and bulbs that can be quite expensive or even not of the same bulb character that you may be used to with a vehicle.
