If the vehicle has a manual transmission there is no dipstick. When fluid is filled or changed. It is usually pumped into a removable plug on the side of the tranny until it starts to come out of another plug a little higher up on the tranny. In some older model you had a drain plug and a side plug. You would just fill it until it started to come back out of the side plug.
If auto the dipstick is located near the air filter near the radiator, it has a RED handle on it.
