Hi, my octavia is 2002 and the cigarette lighter fuse is fuse 41. Perhaps 2000 and 2002 have the same layout? The fuse box is down beside the steering wheel. Open the driver's door and there's a panel down near where the lights dial is - it can be easily opened with a key....Fuse 41 is in the bottom left hand corner of the fuse box, fourth fuse from the bottom, if it's fused you should see it broken. Also, if your car is left hand drive it'll be the bottom right hand corner of the fuse box, fourth from the bottom.
