Drain the coolant. Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine, it attaches to the outlet/thermostat housing. Remove the radiator hose from the thermostat housing, Remove the bolts from the housing that mount it to the intake manifold . Remove the housing from the intake and the thermostat is underneath.clean mating surfaces. Replace it with a new one that has a check ball to allow air to pass through ( this helps in the initial warm up cycle after the repair) to keep air from being trapped beneath the thermostat. Clean mating surfaces, install thermostat with a new seal or gasket, install thermostat housing and refill with new coolant. Keep a close eye on the temperature the first time you run after repair. The thermostat can trap air and make it overheat. But don't worry, if it does just shutting it off and letting it sit for about five minutes and restarting will usually take care of it.
Good luck.
