It would help to know how many miles are on your truck. It sounds like the timing could be off. One thing that could cause this is when a timing chain/timing belt jumps a tooth on the gear. Also a more in-depth promblem could be in the the intake or exhaust valves in the heads. Suggest a certified mechanic to look at it unless you are able to work on trucks. CJ 77
