Why Does Air Blow Through Defrost And Not Through Vents?

I'm assuming you are driving a car with a vacuum operated HVAC system. Most of the time the vehicle develops a vacuum leak in one of the vacuum hoses that control your Heating and Air conditioning. I have also seen the control head in your dash that goes bad as well. I wish I knew what kind of car we were talking about.

I have the same issue and I have a 2002 Explorer. The floor vents, the defrost vents work only. All other do not work even on HIGH.
