Take off the seat. The battery is underneath it. Hook up most any 12V battery charger.
The H-D dealer (and H-D on-line) has a small charger and pigtail connection harness for around $35 that you install on the battery for easy charging later. WalMart has replacement batteries that fit for around $80.

Go to any motorcycle dealer and ask for the battery tender. It is about $35.00 it has the pigtails to hook to your battery. This unit is great for maintaining the battery but is not made to be a battery charger. I highly recommend this if you do not use the bike often. It is great for storage use. Easy connect and disconnect. Like the other user said the battery is under the seat, remove the bolt behind the seat push forward and the seat will release.
