I have a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and had to replace the drivers blinker. When I turn the left blinker on, it just stays on and doesn't blink & the arrow light in the car stays solid. When I turn the right blinker on, it blinks on the outside & so does the arrow. What is wrong?

I have a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme and I had to replace the side marker/blinker because my boyfriend hit a deer and the headlight and side marker broke. Well I had a relative put the side marker and bulb on the car and now when I turn the left blinker light on it just stays on not blinking nothing just steadily on and the light indicator in the car also stays solid doesn't blink but when I turn the right blinker on it blinks on the outside and so does the arrow on the inside of the car. I was wondering if a fuse blew or if it is something else?
