The main purpose of the scientists and engineers was to invent a device that would help in the detection of metal. Now-a-days a metal detector seems to be a very common tool, and this is because metal inventors have been introduced much before people realize, or even recollect of, that was by the end of the 19th century. Heinrich Wilhelm Dove, the inventor of induction balance system, was a German physicist; his work was made to be a part of the metal detectors, hundred years after it was invented. There were various inputs from experts from different fields that led to the immense development of the product, thus making it of great use even today. Various places where metal detectors are regularly used are geophysical prospecting, airports, archeology and treasure hunting as well.
