In most cases, you should be able to find the fuel filter in the engine compartment, in close proximity to the master brake cylinder. The filter may also be found near the rear of the car, right next to the gas tank. When replacing the filter, you will normally have to lift your car up, in order to have access to the bottom. The filter can also appear in the middle of the car along the fuel like as with many of the 1998+ model falcons.

Put your car on level ground and carefully stick your head under it and have a look (make sure park brake is on). Start from the rear near the tank and look for the fuel lines, will be 1 or 2 thinnish metal tubes. Try to follow these along the car body as best as possible. The filter is a small metal canister with a connection port on each end. If that doesn't work try starting from the engine, again follow the fuel delivery system back till you hit the fuel lines.

Google may also have some help for you.
