OK I just changed the brakes on a 2007 4WD Mercury Mariner 4 wheel disc brakes. The front caliper is a 9mm allen wrench and a large metric bolt 17 or 18 mm I did not pay attention to it because it was nothing special like the allen wrench. I had to buy a allen wrench ratchet set 3mm -10mm at a auto parts store to get it. Sears does not carry any odd numbered allen wrenches. This came in handy because to take off the rear brakes it is a 7mm allen wrench to pull off the caliper!
One other thing the front disc pads are different on a 4 wheel disc brake truck versus one with drums on the back. I found that out after I got the wrong parts the first time!
