The dealer ain't going to tell you squat.  Look up recalls and technical service bulletins on the make and model.  You can do this for free. if you see that yours was recalled, then  you can also go to carfax.com and pay $15 for one car or $20 for unlimited vehicles for one month.  The carfax you get is more complete than the edited versions the dealer shows you, so if you are shopping it is well worth the money.  Learned that lesson the hard way.  Carfax should tell you if recall work was performed and where.  Don't expect the manufacturer to tell you much, they can plug in the VIN number and know everything, but they are highly unlikely to tell you.  Carfax is your best bet.

You can find out by taking it to a dealer who can check for you as well as maybe run vin.number to find out.
