PLCs are computers that can be programmed to make decisions based on programmed logic. Inputs are connected to the PLC (motion cameras, weight sensors, etc...) the PLC makes a decision, and turns on outputs (connected to the lights on the poles). The timing and sequence can also be programmed into the controller (PLC)
