Forget this idea. You would be risking a $5,000 transmission to save $100 on Mercedes special ATF? No, don't do this. I have the same problem with my VW transmissions. Not worth the risk.

There has to be a cross reference at some auto supply store, Mercedes does not make tranny fluid !
