My guess would be that it is the hose leading from the filling port down to the tank. I would check that and, if it is, then replace it. Or you can take it to a local shop and it shouldn't be that much to have them run a diagnostics test.

I think if you hook it up to your computer and pull it up in your itunes and then click restore than it should fix your problem.

You can try ointment and things to that degree but I recommend you call the closest vet and see if they know how to care for hamsters. If so then you should take the hamster there  right away.

Feed them the same thing. If you want to be real specific you should feed them lots of protein for the milk.
