During the combustion of fuel in engine of a vehicle, smoke is released. When fuel is burnt in the presences of oxygen a mixture of gases are produced. These gases contain oxides of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon mono oxide and hydrocarbons. So carbon mono oxide is released during fuel combustion. It is an odorless, colorless and tasteless gas. Moreover, we cannot feel its presence in the air.
