Ps signifies the amount of power that a car has. The amount of ps that a car has related to the amount of hose power that you may be more familiar with, 100 ps is 98.6 horse power and therefore you know that the engine your car has may or may not be as powerful as you want it to be.

The term ps is no longer popular but you can use it to ensure that you know how much horse power a car has and therefore how much power the engine has a whole. This is going to be very handy if you are looking to buy a car or to simply find information on the car that you currently have if you are interested or selling it on.

Being able to know the amount of ps that your car has is going to enable you to ensure that the engine is correctly taken care of and that you are not going to install anything that isn't going to work with the amount of power that the car has. 100ps would have been the normal term to use if the units hadn't is changed to KW whereby 1ps is 0.735KW.

No matter what units you measure the power of your car on you can be sure that you can change it to the nits which someone else may ant or which is going to make it easier for you to buy the different parts of your engine and any extras on your car. It doesn't matter if you are not a car lover, you are still going to need to know how powerful your car is when you are looking after it and when you are driving it on the roads.

PS is an abreveation of the German word Pferdestärke. PS is a measurement of power, mainly used by car manufacturers, 1 PS is approximately equal to one horsepower, 100 PS is approximately equal to 98.6 horsepower. PS is no longer a recognized unit, KW are preferred. 1 PS = 0.735 KW (approx).
