When driving, swerving is to avoid something, weaving is going in and out of traffic.

I swerved to avoid hitting someone when I'm looking for a garage sale.

I'm weaving in and out when I want to get to that garage sale first. Heck any sale. Especially shoes on sale.

I'll run over you for buy one get one 🆓 😃.
