Can an insurance conpany like progressive track someone down by their name or phone number? Like find their insurance company?

If there was an accident involved and they paid the claim when it should have been your company or you paying for it, then they can be quite ruthless with finding you and making you or your company pay for what they had too. I'm assuming that this is what you are referring to.

No I was entering a lane and she sped up so we hit each other basically

If it wasn't on purpose, it was an accident. lol

Btw - you need to involve the insurance company to determine who was at fault. It is VERY difficult to have a "no fault" accident with another driver.

In this day and age it is very simple for anyone to track someone down using a name or phone number. If you are on the grid or if you leave a paper trail you can be found.
