You could use either boric acid or "diatomaceous earth" (available at swimming pool supply stores). Sprinkle it and let it sit for a weekend. Before doing this take your car to a good car wash and have the upholstery shampooed.

A flea bomb is big enough to treat about 1000 sq ft, your car doesn't even have 100 sq ft of space. If you use one in your car don't worry about the electronics - worry about your wife being poisoned.

I had the problem (sorta), with ants. I took a handful of sevin dust (10%) and put it under the seat. It took a couple of days, but never a problem since. Its safe enough that you can even powder the dog with it. It's good stuff.
