The engine in my chev blazer is locked up. The pully won't turn with a socket. Someone told me to use mystery oil in the spark plugs and this would free up the engine to turn over. Is this true?

My husband has a project car and recently put a bigger motor in it...he got the motor bolted in and most of it put together, come to find out, its "locked up", the pulley wont turn with a breaker bar and has sprayed the gaskets to try to get it to loosen up..Is there anything else he can do to "unlock" it or should he just get another motor? Any suggestions would help, considering I'm tired of hearing him b****!! Lol

You have to be more specific about what you mean by "locked"

Some cars have security systems that can prevent the engine from starting, can lock it out after a number of attempted starts. To fix this you would have to get the keys security matched back up to the car.

A more general engine "Locking" would be when a part, like a piston, is frozen or siezed up. In this case the engine would probably have to be totally dissassembled and any damaged parts replaced.
