Open the hood, first remove the cover that has the Toyota symbol and engine size on it ( typically 3 hex type bolts along the front of the cover and 2 clips holding the rear of the cover down), doing this will expose the front 3 spark plugs.  You then have to remove the upper intake plenum cover (2-front bolts and 2-side bolts holding it down).  This will allow you to access the rear plugs.  The actual plugs are not exposed, you will need to remove the retaining bolt to a rubber type fitting/boot and pull straight out with a slight twisting motion.  You will need an extension to reach the spark plugs.  Remember to always check the spark plug gap.
