The engine is hard to start runs erratic . Or will not start.some engines use a crank sensor and a cam sensor. It probably will have a fault code if on newer engine, some times they will effect the fuel inj. Engine power will be effected.

Speed sticks then jumps up slowly to max speed if you stop the engine some times starts working again
