For the threading, you need to follow instructions from the manual. That's what I did w/ my sewing machine. Of course, it's much easier if somebody demonstates it for you.
For an Owner's Manual, there are 2 ways:
1. You search for your sewing machine website. For example, www.brothers.com. Click on "Manual." Fill in your model & serial numbers or whatever they require. Then, you can print the manual from there.
2. Look in Yellow Pages for the company phone number or representative or branches. Ask them to mail you the manual for your model.
