My first was a 1965 Chevy Corvair and I paid cash for it. That was back in the old days, cars were cheap, gas was cheap but the average paycheck was also very small.

My first car was a brown 1998 Nissan Altima and I paid for it with my own hard earned money. It drove well for 5 years until it was brutally murdered by some college girls. Good luck to you!

1965 Mustang.  I have a lot of brothers and they were into cars.  There were always cars in various degrees of repair in the back yard.  Triumphs, an Alfa Romeo, and more.  My parents directed my brothers to furnish me with a working car.  They tried to give me a standard transmission car, but I was just learning how to drive.  They got the Mustang up and running for me.

In 1972 I bought a 1954 Nash Rambler.  I paid 350.00 and my then fiancé was a wiz with cars so I put $500.00 into it.  It looked great and I used it until it died about 10 years later.  SO SAD

My first car was a 57 Ford woodie station wagon, 3 speed that needs a clutch which I got for 50 dollars and sold it a couple months later for 100 dolars as I was headed to visit my Uncle Sam in Vietnam

First I actually had money in was a '35 International Panel my BF and I purchased for $25.  Turned out to be more of a project, as it took two to start it, and with a top speed of about 45 and mechanical brakes, it was "interesting" to drive.  Followed by a '52 (?) Kaiser Manhattan that apparently had no rings at all.  Had a "52 Ford Custom Deluxe that I sold before going out for a tour with my rich Uncle's Yacht Club.  After that I had a '59 Hillman Estate Sedan.  Most5 fun car I ever owned.
