The invention of an aeroplane goes to Wright Brothers. Their first successful flight was made in 1903. Nine months before the flight, they had already taken the patent of their flying machine.

Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright  wrote to French aviation in 1900, that flight is possible and it will soon cost them increased amount of money if not their lives. And the rest they say is history.

An Indian flew an aircraft ten years before the Wright Brothers.

Researcher throws light on Shivkar Talpade of Mumbai, who relied on ancient text 'Vaimanikprakarnm' to build model aircraft. The Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, are acknowledged to have invented and built the world's first successful airplane and made the first controlled, powered and sustained flight in 1903.
